Many will be surprised by our banner! It consists of the Pesach (Passover Lamb), the Matzah (Unleavened Bread) and the four cups of wine used in the Passover. Most surprising is probably the “Lamb”. In this age of cute, fluffy things we often fail to recognise that the Pesach was in fact a one year old “lamb”. Today, in our Western culture, we tend to think of a lamb as the few weeks old youngsters we see frolicking in our fields at Spring time. The sheep we have depicted is much closer to the animal the People of Israel were required to sacrifice and eat. You will note that it has gilded horns - this is merely our attempt to convey the regal nature of the Lamb of God who slain for the World. |

A Centuries Old Biblical Problem! For centuries scholars and students of the Bible have openly debated whether Yeshua’s last supper was a Passover meal. Initially this seems a simple “Yes!” However, closer reading of the Gospel accounts throw up a number of problems. Some of you may ask, is this of any real importance? The truth is, it is is! You see, if Yeshua’s last supper was a Passover meal then it seems that John’s Gospel is not the inspired Word of God! However, if it wasn’t a Passover meal then Matthew, Mark & Luke are not the inspired Word Of God! Here at Todah Yisrael we are convinced that all 66 books of our Bible are the preserved, inspired Word of God. We will shortly be posting here what we believe is a Biblical solution to this problem which maintains the integrity of the Word of YHWH. We will update this page very soon with the complete article! Keep coming back. |
